Collection consists of diaries and notebooks kept by Charles B. Edwards, an engineer who worked for the Westinghouse Machine Company (East Pittsburgh, Pa.) and the New York Shipbuilding Company (Camden, N.J.), among other organizations. The majority of the diaries (v. 1-9) contain short, daily entries about the weather and the activities of his family, 1913-1920 and 1932-33. The notebooks (v. 10-11) contain notes, calculations, and graphs relating to ship trials, 1901-07 and 1913-15.
